Nestled deep in the hills of Kentucky is a remarkable stable named About a Horse. Many riders come here, wanting to get a better bond with one of the many horses available here. AAH is a very good riding boarding school, many apply, but only some are accepted. About six months ago, you filled out an application. You have just recieved your answer, a big YES marked on the page. Do you decide to join the rest, and try to be the best?

Summer skipped excitedly down to the stable. it felt like home when she entered the stable, horses rustling, sweet smelling hay distributed evenly to all horses. She mumbled the horses names as she passed them Peekaboo, Vanity Fair, Spot A Dot A Ramma, Eqyptian knight, Autumn's Golden Queen, Starlight Starbright, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Last But Not Least HotFlash. The Paint stallion was in his stall drifting, and beginning to get a hay belly for not enough exersize. He had recently been aquired, bought from a trainer who couldn't find a buyer.

Summer being so short went up on her tip toes tring to look into the stall. The Paint stallion rested his hind left foot as his eyes barely still open. Flash Summer murmered Wake Up. The stag perked his ears up at the new person, wondering who she was. Summer unlocked the half door with a halter around her arm with a lead rope wrapped around it like a boa constrictor. She soothed Flash as she put the halter on over his nobel head and buckled it, followed by the clicking of the lead rope snapping into place. Flash lowered his head to grab one last bite of hay before her was lead out to the cross ties.

Summer had gotten his stuff out already, she'd been there before, but had to go back for lunch. Summer curried the paint stallion who stood with his eyes half closed, while dirt and dust was emmitted into the air. After the hard brush to lay the hair down, and the soft brush to make him shinny. The soft brush was Summer's favorite brush, it made horses so soft. Summer patted his neck before going to grab the mane and tail brush. As she brushed his mane and tail she pulled out burrs and pices of hay out for the tangled mess. She stepped back and looked, everything looked very nice. Next she picked up his hooves, they were all clean.

She grabbed his leg warps and wrapped each leg with the white wraps. Then she put on his saddle pad, nice and easy on, with a bunch of pad near the wither. She lifted the saddle off of the saddle rack onto the back of Flash. Summer turned back to grab the Girth. as she went back to the saddle she hooked the nonelastice side on, then continued to the other side and hook it on too. Then she grabbed Flash bridle and hung it on her arm as she took off Flash Halter and unhooked the cross ties, Flash willingly open his mouth for the bit as it was presented. She pulled it all the way over his head before tightening the throat latch and nose band. Before she did anything else she flung the reins over Flash's head, put her arm through them and then grabbed her helmet, squished it on her head and buckled it.

After flinging the reins over his head Summer lead him out of the barn. Flash perked his head, before he started down the brick path with Summer. Summer smiled as she headed for the outdoor ring, down the brick path. At the arena Summer opened the gate and led him through before she turned around to shut it and latch it again. Summer checked Flash's Girth tightening it, before she walked around to the other side and pulled the sturrip down, and pulled the other iron down.

Summer flung the reins over Flash's head before she placed her foot in the iron and grabbed the saddle as she bounced 3 times then shoved off to get settled in the saddle. Summer swung her leg over Flash's back and put her other leg in the irons, pushed her heels down and clucked Flash on to an active walk. Then after going around four times each was Summer queezed Flash on to a bouncy posting trot. She posted while trying to escape the hot summer sun that blazed down on them.
